September Event

Blake Vineyard was born in Lubbock and grew up in the middle of a cotton field in east Lubbock County. He began working for a farmer at the age of 7 years old to purchase show swine projects at the age of 9. He exhibited livestock projects across the state of Texas and raised show pigs beginning at the age of 16. He was active in the FFA Organization and served as the Lubbock District, the Area I, and the Texas FFA State President. He took off a year of college to travel the state in the role of State President and presented on the need to develop and follow through with your goals. Upon completion of his year of service Blake attended West Texas a&M University where he earned a degree in Plant Soil and Environmental Science with a focus on Integrated Pest Management. He then attended Texas Tech University where he earned a Master’s degree in Agricultural Education and Communication. While earning this role, he helped establish the Center for Ag Science Communications which was created to help Doctoral students learn how to relay information to the average American. He then taught Agricultural Education at Slaton High School for 2 years, and Lubbock-Cooper High School for 3 years. He helped lead teams that competed at the State level in Leadership Development Events, trained 2 state officers, and advised the National Champion in the Ag Science Fair. Now, Blake serves as the West Texas Deputy Regional Director for U.S. Senator Ted Cruz. In this role he covers the panhandle, down to Midland and over to Menard. He focuses on agricultural relations and helping constituents get the support that they need. He’s been married to the love of his life Libby Vineyard for 7 years, and in November they will welcome their first child.

Our mission is to promote an informed electorate through political education, to increase the effectiveness of citizens in the cause of good government through active political participation, to facilitate cooperation among all Republican Clubs, to foster loyalty to the Republican Party and to promote its ideals, and to work for the election of the Republican Party’s nominees.

Our group gathers for lunch on the third Thursday of each month for our membership meeting and special guest speaker.  RSVP's are requested, but guests are always welcome.
